City Attorney

The City contracts with the law firm of Burke, Williams and Sorensen for legal services and the City Council has appointed Thomas D. Jex as City Attorney. In addition to representing the City in litigation matters, the City Attorney’s office provides legal counsel and advice to the City Council, City Manager and City departments on matters ranging from general municipal legal services (drafting contracts, ordinances and resolutions) to personnel issues and land use / environmental legal issues.
