Be part of the advisory group for our General Plan Update!
Published on Apr 7, 2022 09:09

The City of Wildomar is embarking on the first comprehensive update to our General Plan since becoming a City nearly 14 years ago. The new General Plan will define the Vision for what Wildomar will look like over the next 20+ years. It will establish long-term goals, policies and action items to guide the community and City Council in realizing the vision for Wildomar’s future.

This General Plan update process is an opportunity for the community to weigh-in on policies and programs affecting the physical form and character of the City, transportation and infrastructure, open space and conservation, health, noise and public safety, the economy, and other important topics. In essence, this General Plan will affect every department and agency in the City and decisions regarding the planning and formation of Wildomar well into the future.

As part of this endeavor, the City Council is convening a group of up to eight (8) people to take part in a series of four (4) meetings on different topics related to the General Plan update project. This advisory group will be comprised of residents, business owners, and property owners within the City, representing a broad cross-section of the community. The topics to be covered will include things such as land use, parks and open space, public safety, and transportation. These advisory meetings will be held over the next four (4) to six (6) months (May – October 2022).

If you are interested in being a part of this important Advisory Group, please fill out the information below and submit it to Matthew Bassi, Planning Director at your earliest convenience, but no later than Thursday, April 7, 2022 (by 4 pm). You may either email this to [email protected] or come to city hall and drop it off during regular business hours (Monday – Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm).
