Welcome to 2022, Wildomar!
With a new year comes some exciting changes to our City. First of all, I took over as Mayor on January 1st and I look forward to a busy and prosperous year in Wildomar! Joseph Morabito is the Mayor Pro Tem and I know he has already been busy with some of the job duties that title brings with it.

City Manager Gary Nordquist is retiring as of today (January 31, 2022) and tomorrow morning we begin a new chapter with Dan York as our City Manager. Dan has been with Wildomar since 2012: first as a private consultant assigned as City Engineer, then as a city employee in 2014 as Assistant City Manager, Public Works Director, City Engineer. He has 35 years specifically focused on Local Government, Municipal Engineering, Executive Management. Long story, short - we know we have the right person to take over at the helm.

We all wish Gary a happy and relaxing journey for his well-deserved retirement!

There are a lot of great things happening in Wildomar - commercial and residential development, road improvements and more! I look forward to keeping you updated though this newsletter and the many monthly meetings we have to keep you connected. #GoWildomar

Sincerely,

Mayor Ben J. Benoit
