City of Wildomar Redistricting: Share your Comments!
Published on Jan 4, 2022 17:08

Every ten years, districts must be redrawn so that each district is substantially equal in population. This process, called redistricting, is important in ensuring that each city councilmember represents about the same number of constituents.

Redistricting determines which neighborhoods and communities are grouped together into a district for purposes of electing a councilmember.

To date, the City's demographer has developed 3 Draft Maps for public and Council Consideration. The Public is also encouraged to submit maps which are also posted to the City's website and included in the Public Hearings.

The next Public Hearing is scheduled for January 12, 2022 at 6PM in the City Council Chambers, 23873 Clinton Keith Road Ste. 106 Wildomar, CA.

We encourage residents to Visit the City's Redistricting Page at www.cityofwildomar.org to view the draft maps and complete the opinion poll, email [email protected] with the map you prefer, attend the meeting in person and provide public comment or create your own map!

Electronic  comments submitted by January 5th at 5PM will be included in the agenda packet for the January 12th Public Hearing. Electronic Comments received after will be included in the 4th Public Hearing.
