2020 Holiday Lights Home Decorating Contest

Decorating for the holidays? The
City’s Holiday Lights Contest is an annual event that recognizes the efforts of
the community who have decorated their homes with consideration to the
holidays. The contest will be judged based on two categories: “Traditional” and
“Clark Griswold”. Within each category, entries will be judged on such criteria
as:
•First
Impression
•Design
•Originality
•Suitability to
Site
•Environmental Elements (eco-friendly lighting, including recycling,
energy conservation, etc.)
The City provides two methods for
entering the Contest: an online application form on the City’s website (link),
or by filling out the attached flyer. Entries will be accepted through Tuesday,
December 8th at 5:00 p.m. Recognition and awarding of the contest
will be announced through the City’s Social Media outlets and a staff
presentation of the contest results will be shown at the following scheduled
City Council meeting, which is tentatively scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday
December 16th, 2020.
