City of Wildomar Launches Cannabis Webpage

On May 28, 2020, the Wildomar City Council approved the “Wildomar Cannabis Code Amendment” consisting of local license and zoning/land use regulations. Ordinance No. 187 (Zoning Regs.) and 188 (Licensing Regs.) become effective on July 10, 2020. The Council also adopted Cannabis fees for Local Licenses, CUP/Development Agreement’s, and Annual Regulatory Licenses (set forth in Resolution No. 2020-35). The Planning Department will begin taking Cannabis applications on July 11, 2020 and anytime thereafter.  The city has created a Cannabis webpage that includes information about processing cannabis applications and other reference documents for public review.  Please click on the following link to access the City of Wildomar Cannabis Business Requirements and Facts page.

Each Cannabis Applicant must first contact Matthew Bassi, Planning Director, at (951) 677-7751, Ext. 213 or email at [email protected]  prior to making a formal application submittal.  The applications form for a Local License and CUP/Development Agreement (DA) can be accessed by clicking on the following link: http://www.cityofwildomar.org/cms/One.aspx?portalId=9894827&pageId=10911306 .  Ordinance 187 & 188 are attached to the applications and can be found on the Cannabis webpage.  It is important that anyone interested in establishing a Cannabis business first read the regulations in both Ordinances before making a formal submittal.  A completed application upfront will make the review and entitlement process move more efficiently.  Note: All applications will need to be notarized by a Licensed Notary Public.
