PRESS RELEASE: Riverside County Issues Proclamation of Local Emergency and Curfew

The County of Riverside issued a Proclamation of Local
Emergency (Riverside County Ordinance No. 533) on Monday, June 1, 2020,
declaring a state of emergency in all of Riverside County and imposing a curfew
from 6:00 pm on June 1, 2020 until 6:00 am on June 2, 2020.
“The County has implemented this curfew for the safety of
law enforcement, businesses and the public at large due to the potential of
rioting,” said Mayor Dustin Nigg. “The City of Wildomar stands 100% behind the
County’s decision to impose this curfew. Everyone please stay home and stay
safe.”
Any violation of the curfew is a misdemeanor punishable by
imprisonment of up to six (6) months in jail, a fine of up to one thousand
($1,000) dollars, or both.
