Planning Commission Vacancy- June 2019

The City of Wildomar is accepting applications for one vacancy on the Planning Commission.  This vacancy will be appointed by Mayor Pro Tem Dustin Nigg.  The term of office will run concurrent with Mayor Pro Tem Nigg, with said term expiring December 2020. Planning Commissioners are nominated by the appointing Council Member and then must receive a majority ratification (at least 3 affirmative votes) from the entire Council.  The Planning Commissioner is not required to live in the same district as the appointing Council Member.

Planning Commissioners will be expected to make potentially significant time commitments to both learning the job of Planning Commissioner, as well as regular attendance at Planning Commission Meetings. Regular Planning Commission Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, starting at 6:30 p.m., however, there are also special meetings and workshops that could be called as well. Commissioners are paid $75 per meeting attended.  

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Must be a registered voter at their current address;
2. Must be a resident within the City limits of Wildomar;
3. Must be a resident within the City limits of Wildomar for the year immediately preceding the inception of his/her term; and
4. May not be an employee or officer of the City of Wildomar.
