Revised Press Release - PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC WORKSHOP 9/5/18

Good morning,

Attached is a Press Release regarding the September 5, 2018 Planning Commission meeting.  The general public is invited to attend this meeting as the Planning Department has scheduled this public workshop (the first of three workshops) with the Planning Commission to initiate the city’s first commercial design guidelines and standards planning process recently funded by the City Council.  The intent of this workshop will be to 1) review the existing commercial design styles that have been approved by the Planning Commission in the past, 2) discuss which of these styles should be brought forward into the new commercial design guidelines and standards manual, and 3) discuss new design concepts that have been successfully applied in other cities that might fit into the Wildomar commercial design style.  The city’s design consultant (PlaceWorks, Inc.) will facilitate the workshop which will be an interactive discussion with the Planning Commission and the general public in attendance at the meeting to get ideas of key design elements that should be incorporated into what will become the city’s commercial design guidelines and standards manual.  The public is strongly encourage to attend this workshop and participate in these discussions.  For additional information, please contact Matthew Bassi, Planning Director, at (951) 677-7751, Ext. 213 or via email at [email protected].  Thank you and see you on the 5^th.
