Elsinore
Valley Municipal Water District Sewer Line Construction Nearing Completion.
Extended
Traffic Delays Likely for Final paving of Monte Vista Drive from Bundy Canyon
Rd. to Baxter Rd.
Elsinore Valley Municipal Water
District (EVMWD) recently began construction to extend the sewer system on
Monte Vista Drive. As the project nears completion, final paving will take place
to replace the portion of the road that was disturbed during construction.
Extended
traffic delays are likely as the crews work on the narrow road for final
paving. Drivers should consider using alternate routes to avoid the
construction zone during this time. (See map below.)
Construction crews are expected to
pave on Friday, May 25, 2018. The contractor will then conduct final finish
work to complete the project and vacate the site by early June 2018.
During the paving operation,
motorists can expect the following:
• Paving
hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Traffic
will be limited to one lane on Monte Vista Dr. with flagmen directing traffic
• Increased
truck and/or equipment traffic
• Access to the church, school and
nearby properties will remain available at all times, however minor traffic
delays should be anticipated
• Noise,
dust, vibrations, odors
• Temporary
on-street parking restrictions near the construction zone
“Elsinore Valley Municipal Water
District is pleased to report that the sewer improvement project on Monte Vista
Drive is nearing completion, ahead of schedule,” said EVWMD Board Director,
Andy Morris. “We once again ask for the public’s patience as we complete the
final paving along this narrow stretch of road and ask motorists to consider
taking alternate routes to avoid extended delays during the paving operation.”
EVMWD’s Construction Hotline is
available at (951) 893-7116 or [email protected] for any questions about
the project. Calls received after normal business hours will be returned
between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
EVMWD provides service to more than 144,000
water and wastewater customers in a 97-square-mile area in Western Riverside
County. The District is a sub-agency of the Western Municipal Water District
and a member agency of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
